Below are the 2024 Weekly Themes: 2025 themes should be posted in February of 2025
June 10-14: Green Thumbs: Let's get ready to grow and learn as you go! Explore the world of science and investigate the soil, bugs, plants, and all that goes into growing a garden.
June 17-21: Bees, Butterflies, and Fireflies Galore: All creatures great and small contribute to the health and beauty of our share planet. Learn how to help some of the most endangered as we create a friendly habitat for these special insects; create crafts; and celebrate the wonders they bring to our Earth.
June 24-28: Amazing Race: Teams will be given a set of challenges each day and will need to complete each challenge before moving forward on to the next. Some of the challenges will include scavenging for nature, all wrapped up, it's a toss-up and many more. Some days we will even be traveling back in time to look for dino eggs, construct a Viking ship, and find treasure.
July 1-3: Red, White, & Blue Tie-Dye: This week we will spend some time tie-dying different cloth materials like towels, scrunchies, shirts, & more!
July 8-12: Nature's Artwork: Explore what wonders nature has to offer by creating art from items campers will find while exploring the forest behind our school.
July 15-19: Magic, Myth, & Alchemy: create mythological creatures; make magic wands; brew your own potions; and try your hand at alchemy.
July 22-26: Water Week: Spend the week at Booth Lake frolicking in the cool waters; playing water games; and exploring the wildlife and plant life that depend on the lake water for survival.
July 29-August 2: Outdoor Culinary Delights: Spend the week learning how to cook various foods using the outdoor elements. Cook bread on a stick over the campfire; make homemade sun teas; cook pizzas in homemade solar ovens, and more!
August 5-9: Summer Olympics: The children will be divided into countries that will each design a country flag and name their very own country. The teams will compete in Olympic games such as, pool noodle javelin, badminton, frisbee discus throw, potato sack races, egg spoon race, water balloon toss, soccer relay, non-stop hula hoop pass, and more! We will end the week with an Olympic medal ceremony.
August 12-16: Inventor's Workshop: Curiosity, experiment, and imagination will help each child find their inner inventor! We'll have brainstorming sessions and campers will be given challenges that they'll need to invent the solution too.
August 19-23: Camping Week: Camp songs, bonfires, outdoor cooking, smores, hikes, and a Thursday night overnight tent sleep over in our backyard with a Friday morning breakfast on the fire.
August 26- Aug 29: Friendship & goodbye week: Saying goodbye to summer friends. Make friendship bracelets, play hopscotch, and other fun free choice activities. End the week with a pizza party!
